Spatial design

Invited by Milliøns Architecture, JMStudio created two curtains for the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, New York. The colour composition of each piece is inspired by two distinct ceramics (an unidentified Japanese bowl from the 15th century and a plate from the French painter Félix Bracquemond). With these abstract translations, JMStudio conceptually complements the museum's permanent collection, mainly devoted to traditional and contemporary American ceramics.
The curtains acts like space dividers for the administrative offices and conference room.

JMStudio created this curtain for Vaisseau, the first restaurant of French chef Adrien Cachot. The colour composition is inspired by the NGC 6357, a cluster of clusters filled with luminous young stars located about 5500 light years from Earth. With its black environnement, Vaisseau is conceived like a metaphoric spaceship traveling through the new culinary territories imagined by the chef. Modular, the curtain can conceal the bar area or extend across the entire length of the restaurant.

Invited by Mous Labarat at the occasion of his personal exhibition entitled A(r)mour at MAD Brussels, JMStudio created an ensemble of fabric walls. The colours composition is inspired by the photographies of Labarat.
The placement of the three panels and the semi transparency of the tulle fabric allows to divide the space while having an overview of the exhibition.
